Stamp Duty Holiday Extension!
The Chancellor of the Exchequer presented his Budget to Parliament on Wednesday 3rd March 2021. There's plenty of dizzying figures to wrap your head around, but what should interest YOU is the Stamp Duty holiday on house purchases being extended until 30th June across England and Northern Ireland!
This extension means buyers can continue to take advantage of not paying tax up to £500,000 of property purchases, a huge relief for some 600,000 people currently stuck in backlogs, who's mortgage lenders, conveyancers and search departments were struggling to meet the original 31st March expiry date as a result of the increased market demand.
