On Sunday the 5th of March Arsenal will play Chelsea at Crystal Palaces Selhurst Park Stadium live on BBC One.
Since its creation in 2011 the league has been sponsored by Continental AG. A record breaking 20,000 tickets have been sold ahead of the weekends game, making it the first time a five figure crowd will be in attendance at a final.
It will also be the first time in the contests 11 year history that Selhurst Park have hosted the event.
Only Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have won the FA Women's league cup.
Women's football is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, it is said to be inspirational, empowering and family friendly, attracting a diverse, young fan base that is predicted to keep growing in the years to come.
Women's football has definitely come a long way since the FA banned women's football from its clubs' grounds based on its view that football was ‘quite unsuitable for females'.
