If you crave the cosy village community feel but want to be in the city then Highgate really must be considered. Highgate has always been unique in its ability to retain its character and sense of community in such a diverse and ever expanding city. The village boasts an active and engaged community of locals who frequently hold events in the parks and open spaces Highgate has to offer. Including annual events such as ‘Fair in the Square', ‘Lark in the Park' and ‘Highgate Christmas Lights' in which everyone takes part and gets engaged. There are also monthly events such as the ‘Highgate Farmers Market' which starts this month. On an average day though, the village atmosphere is epitomised by the gentle pace of life around pond square, where people gather to eat lunch and enjoy the relatively ambient surroundings.
